Glistening seas and glamour await you in the magnificent municipality of Monaco. Bathed in year round sunshine and sitting pretty on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, Monaco is he kind of place you visit and dream about living. Luxe beach clubs, mega yachts and cliff top cafes all with views over the ocean. Most visitors of course are a few million dollars short of securing an ocean front villa however that doesn’t make this little country any less accessible.
Monaco is open to anyone and you can visit for the day from Nice, France or splash out with a night in one of the exclusive hotels in Monte Carlo. If you decide to drive from Nice, the views are almost as good as the destination! Dotted with hillside villages, harbours and beach coves, the coastline is dramatically stunning.
Exploring Monaco by foot is essential to soak up the atmosphere and uncover hidden little streets of prettiness. I recommend starting at the Royal Palace and old town of Monaco-Ville then taking the stairs down to the harbour and up again to the Monte Carlo Casino. You can’t really get lost in Monaco and if you go too far you’ll end up in either France or Italy…hardly bad options.
Take a peek below at the photographs from my most recent visit to hopefully inspire a little wanderlust this weekend…

Monaco is high on my list, and these photos are a testimony to “why”. This collection perfectly captures the wealth, beauty and nature of the Cote D’Azur and I can’t wait to have my own “Monte Carlo” experience!
